Sailing Karma

Bouncing from rock to rock around the world

Overwintering in Newport Rhode Island

Now that we know the boat works, we are entirely out of money lol. With the lofty cruising goals we may be able to accomplish with this badass vessel we built the last thing in our way is our lack of money. Hopefully Newport can help with that?

Crossing the Gulf of Maine

Our first overnight trip in the new boat. Squeezing through with a quick departure in a weather window to get back to the States after another 6 lovely months in Canada

Bras D'ors Lacs Nouvelle Escosse

We sail into the Bras D'ors Lacs in Nova Scotia, birthplace of the CCA and a world famous cruising ground

Departure from Shediac

After rebuilding, refitting, launching, and touching up the new Karma, we depart Shediac and actually cruise once again

Mum Goes to Mexico

Part one of the impromptu trip which brought Mrs. Kate overnight sailing up the Mexican Pacific coast

Deeper Into The Sea

Deeper into the Sea of Cortez This place is lovely. The desert has far more colors than you’d think and it’s wild to think about how many perfect beaches and lovely backdrops are here, driving distance south from California and Arizona, and how seemingly unknown this whole area is relatively. It’s surprising how big these mountains are as well. The Baja peninsula is lowkey a huge mountain range that gets steeper and more dramatic as it goes south. Good for spotting spots where evil lairs could be.

Entering the Sea of Cortez

Rounding the cape past Cabo San Lucas we found ourselves in the clearest water we've seen yet and the swell dissapeared as we ventured further north.
